Hi! We are so excited that you are designing and building your site using the Caroline Theme for Kadence. This guide will get you started and guide you all through out customizing your site and get it to look like the Caroline Demo site.

1. WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE STARTING

A self-hosted WordPress website ( It should not be the free one from WordPress.com)
Hosting account + Domain
PHP 7.4+
Latest WordPress version
Ability to install themes and plugins

2. INSTALL THE THEME AND IMPORT THE DEMO CONTENT

Before your site will look like the demo, you’ll need to install the theme and import the demo content. This process will prompt you to install necessary plugins and set up all of your pages, menus, and widgets.

Recommended Plugins for Caroline Theme:

Kadence Blocks (Free)
One Click Demo Import
Modula Plugin – to feature your portfolio/images (Free)
WooCommerce (Optional – needed only if you run a shop in your site)
Use Any Font – so that you can use the fancy handwritten font that comes free with the theme purchase.

3. CUSTOMIZE YOUR SITE

Now that your theme is installed, and you already imported the demo content. You can start customizing your site. You have to replace images, write posts and pages. The demo will just guide you and make the design process easier.

Often times, when your site is not a fresh install, and you already have all your menus set, your website may look off. You just need to set the menu correctly and everything will be fine.
